Tetu district has its headquarters at Wamagana and has two administrative divisions i.e. Tetu East and West. Divisional headquarters are at Gichira and Kigogo-ini, respectively. It is anticipated that the District headquarters will be constructed during the financial year 2010/11. |

Residential accommodation for the DO,Tetu West at Kigogo-ini has recently been completed, funded through CDF. |

Further, Tetu location has been split into Tetu and Huho-ini locations whilst Muhoya's has been split into Muhoya's and Kimathi locations. Consequently, there are eight locations in the district. |

In the recent past, CDF has also funded the construction of the Chief's office and AP lines at Gititu in Aguthi location and is similarly funding construction of Kimathi and Huho-ini Chief's offices. Also funded by CDF are the Asst Chiefs' offices at Mungaria, Kiawaithanji and lower Huho-ini. Through CDF, Kiandu and Ndugamano police stations, as well as Gichira police post, have been constructed/refurbished. Gachatha police post is under construction. Plans are afoot to rehabilitate all the administration/police facilities and build new ones as necessary to enhance security within the constituency. It is also expected that further administrative re-organization is in the offing. |
